Hamilton, ON, Jan 26, 2015: The Hamilton Chamber of Commerce is highly encouraged by today’s announcement by Mayor Fred Eisenberger that the Province of Ontario has committed to funding 100% of the capital costs of a light rail transit system in Hamilton.
The project is expected to run along the B-Line corridor with further discussions on an additional link to the new James St North GO Station.

Starting January 1st, 2015, this new system (which replaces a number of older programs that were driven by applications from prospective immigrants) requires people hoping to immigrate to Canada to indicate their interest by providing information online about their language ability, education, work experience, and other human capital attributes.

This Rapid Policy Update contains information about accessibility requirements under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 (AODA) that came into effect January 1, 2014. It also provides important details about new accessibility requirements that will come into effect on January 1, 2015.
