Citizen nominees 

must have performed the act for which they are being nominated in a voluntary capacity in the local community for which award they are being nominated, over and above those required of them in the performance of their regular professional duties.

The Outstanding Business Achievement Awards include the categories of Small Business (1-50 employees), Large Business (51+ employees), Young Entrepreneur (35 years and under), Ironman Business (15+ years in business), Communication and Technology, Not-for-Profit , Century (100+ years in business) and, new to this year’s awards, the Diversity Award.

November 13, 2012 – Hamilton, ON – The Hamilton Chamber of Commerce has announced that the nomination period is now open for the Hamilton Community Awards, comprising the 76th annual Royal Bank Distinguished Citizen of the Year and the 16th annual Hamilton Spectator Youth Volunteer of the Year. Nominations will be accepted until December 13, 2013, with winners being announced at the Hamilton Community Awards dinner on January 21, 2013 at Liuna Station.
