The agenda can be found here.

Hamilton Community Enterprises, a leader in smart city solutions, is hosting an education series devoted to district energy systems in Hamilton and around the world.

It is being delivered in partnership with The Heat Academy, an internationally-renowned platform for sharing best practices in the decarbonization of space heating and cooling.

The aim is to increase public awareness on the role heat networks play in shrinking carbon emissions, addressing climate change, and ensuring local energy security.

The series will explain the basics of district energy and outline the economic, social and environmental benefits.

The public will also learn about a vision to modernize and expand the district energy system now serving downtown Hamilton. Utilization of industrial waste heat as an alternative fuel source for district energy systems will be another important discussion topic.
