Chamber Presents Pre-Budget Submissions to the City and Province

The Hamilton Chamber of Commerce has submitted two pre-budget submission documents to the municipal and provincial government over the last month. The submissions highlight our recommendations to the respective elected officials on the priorities of the Chamber.

1) Provincial Pre-Budget Submission: The Hamilton Chamber of Commerce submitted our pre-budget submission outlining our membership’s provincial priorities to Finance Minister Charles Sousa as part of their public consultation process. Key topics include: Ontario Registered Pension Plan, Transit, Educational Infrastructure and US Steel Bankruptcy.

2) City of Hamilton Pre-Budget Submission: Our CEO Keanin Loomis presented to City Council on February 24th presenting our recommendations for the upcoming budget deliberations. The attached report synthesizes the presentation. Key topics include: Planning and Economic Development Enhancements, Open for Business support and Arts Funding.
